In 1958, Poul Volther designed the daybed, which is characterised by simplicity and functionality, and was the first item in the Klassik Studios collection. In an elegant way, the daybed can be used both as a sofa in the living room and as a couch in the guest room.
The solid wooden frame is the focal point of the fine joinery details and is produced in solid oak with minimal use of screws and the like, allowing the joinery to show through. Klassik Studio treats the oak with soap or oil, which ensures a very natural expression of the wood, which will also have a beautiful patina over time.
The cushion’s filling is made of high-quality cold foam, which ensures a very long service life and, not least, an extremely comfortable mattress – which, incidentally, can be upholstered in a myriad of textiles and leather, depending on your taste.
